NZTA rules:

  • Vehicles first registered anywhere on or after 1 Jan 2000: Annual WOF (12 months).

  • Vehicles first registered before 1 Jan 2000: 6-monthly WOF.

  • New Vehicles: First inspection at 3 years, then annually.
  • Vehicles over 40 years old: Annual WOF (12 months).
